Odyssey EX V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 140,000 miles

I have spent way to much time trying to fix my 2005 Odyssey dvd/nav system. My disc will not load...message says 'please check disc'. I have purchased an updated version disc for the maps but still no luck. Nobody at Honda will help me with this for less than $1000!!! My rear camera, clock, and nav display all not working.

COME ON HONDA, PLEASE offer some HELP!!! I cant even get to the player because it is under the fricking drivers seat...Ha, what a joke.

At the very least post something that tells me what the problem is! My best guess is that my dvd players optical reader has gone bad.

Odyssey EX V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 92,000 miles

My van is not even 4 years old and the audio system for the rear entertainment system (DVD player) has broken. The DVD player works, however, neither the head phones nor the plug-in speakers will allow you to hear the movie playing. You can hear the movie if the system is turned on so everyone in the car hears the movie. The part itself costs over $600 then you have the installation costs. My friend who also has a 2005 Honda Odyssey said her audio system broke also. Is this a common problem and what can I do about it? I don't want to pay over a thousand dollars to fix it.
