Subaru/Honda dealership refused to acknowledge secondary safety recall for fuel pump module, possible fire and explosion. ($710.31 repair estimate) dealership inspection showed additional safety issues/repairs needed to steering and axles that exceeded $6,000 in repairs. Vehicle purchased and sold with no concern for safety or dependability. All trust violated, we can not trust this dealership with repair or service of our vehicles. Dealership refused to acknowledge even after investigation by the Ohio attorney general. We requested an investigation as to how a vehicle with so many safety and repair issues was sold to us as a well maintained vehicle with no issues. Previous repairs exceeded $8,000. All documentation is with the oag.

Driving the 2005 Honda Odyssey power shuts off to the entire vehicle. You didn't turn the vehicle off and turn it back on it will start. When there is a heavy load on the vehicle the car will stall. The power shut off happens intermittently and even blinkers will not work. This is driving in local and highway the car stops.

The contact owns a 2005 Honda Odyssey. The contact noticed strong fuel fumes in and around the vehicle. While adding fuel to the tank, the contact noticed that the fuel pump was leaking fuel. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the fuel pump failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The VIN was included in NHTSA campaign number: 14V112000 (fuel system, gasoline). The dealer and manufacturer were not contacted. The approximate failure mileage was 220,000.

3 weeks ago my family complained that they smelled gas inside and outside the car, I later smelled it also. I brought it to a mechanic and they found out the fuel pump has cracks on the top cover and that is causing the leak. I looked into it online and found out from 2005 to 2010 there was recalls on the fuel pump module. I contacted Honda and the told me my vehicle was not affected based on my VIN. I started the car this past Friday and the car turned off and leaked out fuel from the bottom. It seems I have the same problem as everyone else who has had a problem with these Honda Odyssey. Was it a mistake my vechicle was skipped out on the recall?

On Saturday August 1, 2015, I was on my way from the airport with three other family members when the van suddenly lost power and stalled in the middle of the road. Upon several attempts to restart it, the van would crank, but would not turn over. My fuel gauge and light were not indicating no fuel (which was the first thing that the officer who assisted in pushing the vehicle off the road looked at). The local auto repair shop ran a diagnostics on the vehicle and decided that all the vehicle's six cylinders were mis-firing due to low fuel pressure (5psi) and that I needed a new fuel pump. The last time I had driven the van prior to August 1, was July 21, 2015 when I took it to Honda dealer for the fuel pump filter replacement (the vehicle had 147,504 miles on it leaving the dealership). The dealer called to tell me that the reason why the vehicle stopped was that I had run out of fuel. I asked how the cylinder misfirings and check engine light that came on earlier on August 1st was related to an empty tank, the service manager said that they were related. But he said he could not promise that the vehicle will not stall again because all the fuel pump part could be getting old and failing. Now, about the fuel gauge that "failed" to work after the fuel pump recall work was done, the dealership refused to take responsibility and claimed that their technician rechecked what he did on July 21st and found no problem with it. Furthermore, it appears that the problem with the 2005 Odyssey fuel pump is deeper than the "filter" replacement patch that Honda has improvised to resolve the issue. Please help us go after Honda of America to do the right thing by replacing all defective fuel pumps and not just the fuel pump filter.

During acceleration, and particularly while turning and accelerating (e.g. left hand turns from a stop light), the vsa indicator (triangle with exclamation point) will flash repeatedly and the vehicle will decelerate (not necessarily brake) until it reaches the standard idle speed or until the wheels straighten out and the vsa indicator stops flashing. This happens when turning either right or left and leaves the vehicle exposed in intersections with unexpected inabilities to accelerate out of an intersection. It is intermittent but happens more often than not.

Whmagoo en I purchased the car I had an approved by Honda scooter lift installed by unlimited abilities in deer park NY. I am handicapped and after the installation I received a rebate from Honda. As a result of the recall my wife brought the car in because of the recall to nardy Honda smith town N.Y. and was told they cannot work on the recall until the lift is removed. I complained to Honda customer service and was given case # [xxx] and was advised someone would call within 24 hrs. No one called. I call again and was informed the person handling was out and would call me within 24 hrs no one called.in I called hardy Honda service mgr [xxx] and he advised me would check with hdqtrs to determine who would pay for the lift removal necessary for the repair and call me back. He never called.please help me resolve this issue because if the recall fumes problem isn't resolved I could be a dead duck if a fire happened. At the time of purchase I was forced to obtain an extended warranty, etching and many other things. One year later I began to have problems with the sliding doors. I informed Honda because doors are covered under the extended warranty and the dealer refused to do any repairs. Summer of 2014 there's a recall on the fuel pump and the dealership claims that because the doors are stuck closed they cannot repair the recall. However the service advisor opened the sliding doors and still then they refuse to complete the recall. I contacted Honda's manufacturer and per the case manager at corporate office, " Honda cannot help me the recall." I recently learned that on September of 2011 there was an extended warranty on the steering. I informed the case manager that I never received such notice. Her response was "perhaps the notice was mailed to the previous owner, because we go by the address noted at the dmv office."; September of 2011 the vehicle was registered under my name and address, the case manager did not have a response for me. Fuel pump recall has not been repaired.

While driving on !-25 South, the car started to choke and almost completely stalled while on the left lane. Tried to merge right and slow down the car. The brakes would not respond. The car was still choked and then gives in and goes again. Took the first exit and continues to press on the brakes to slow down the car. It continued on for a while before reaching a complete stop. After stopping, checked the engine for leaks or smoke and there was nothing. I started the car again and it seem to start fine. Then there was some kind of light noise. I drove it to just the other side of the highway where there were some stores. Took it to the dealer that just performed preventive timing belt replacement. Said that they found broken/seized spark plug in cylinder 2. the work was done at 76000. Current miles is 77990. The issue seem to be happening to 2005 Honda Odyssey.

I have a 2005 Honda Odyssey touring. There is a strong shuddering and shake when I reach the speeds of 20-30 mph. This also happens when the eco mode engages. I have also noticed that I am not getting the same fuel economy with this issue. I am hesitant to call Honda with my VIN. For the fact of them deleting any recall or problems with my van. After reading many articles about Honda owners experiencing the same issues as mine. My only question to NHTSA. What are you waiting for to make Honda be held responsible for this serious problem. Perhaps Honda is paying you off to ignore the problem exist. I have been contacted by Honda dealerships wanting to purchase my van. I do not have my van listed for sell or have I thought about selling it. How is it they are able to get my address and phone number? this leads me to believe that Honda knows that this problem exist. If they can get owners such as myself for fall for there game plan. The dealer is going to get issue fixed at no charge to them. Then sell the van for much more than they are offering me. Even when I told them no! they continued to call me asking if I would reconsider the offer of selling the van. Is this just coincidence of a cover up by Honda or the demand for these vans is high. Hummmm!

Gasoline smell started to come from all around the vehicle. Took it to dealer and they said fuel pump housing has a crack which is made of plastic. Dealer said there were no recall on this but the issue seem to be happening to few others also. I think this should be replaced by manufacturer since it may cause a vehicle to catch fire.
