Odyssey ES

  • Automatic transmission
  • 94,000 miles

The same thing happened to my AC last year. No cold air was coming out, only hot air was blowing. I had this problem fixed right away. Honda told me it was the motor and it was covered.

Now 1 year & 1 month later it appears to be the same freakin' thing. However, this time Honda is telling me that it is the compressor, which is under the motor. Last year it had to do with the motor & this is located behind the dash (more info. then I ever wanted to know about the car)!

This problem is going to put me back a little over $1,300.00...but what there is more going on and the final bill is going to put me back over $3,000.00...yep, US dollars & not pesos. I didn't know if I should throw up or cry on the spot!-(

car had only 42000 miles when air conditioning stopped working. dealer said the factory would pay 90%. since this problem was due to no fault of mine I feel they should have paid 100%. Since then I understand a class action suit has been filed referring to my same problem.

This 2007 Odyssey has been nothing but problems. We have been through all the TSB's and still have a nagging air cond problem. We replaced the condenser and still won't hold a cooling charge. The van is back in the shop and thank God under warranty. We have replaced torque converter, battery, knock sensors, power steering pump and now the air cond condenser. I have owned 5 Honda auto's and recently bought a 2010 CRV.(I know!) This just proves all manufactures are capable of building a lemon.
