On July 12, 2010, I took our 2007 Honda Odyssey) mel rapton Honda for the brake recall requested by Honda America. I was called at 12:20 P.M. by your service department and advised that the vehicle was ready to be picked up. At 2:00 P.M., I arrived, picked up the vehicle and proceeded to maita Toyota to pick up my husband where he was having our Toyota serviced. As I approached the very first stop light at fulton and the entrance to I-80, I applied the brakes and with my foot pressed completely to the floor and the vehicle did not stop. I ran the stop light, and was very fortunate that I did not hit anyone. At the second light I came upon at auburn and fulton was green and I made a right hand turn into the Toyota dealership where I once again could not stop the vehicle and hit the concrete parking barrier, scratching the front right bumper. I promptly called my husband and informed him I thought something was wrong with the vehicle, but was not sure what to do since my assumption was the brakes were fully inspected and functional prior to me leaving mel rapton Honda. I called back to mel rapton service department, leaving a message for the service advisor anthony motley that something was not right with my brakes. The service advisor called me back asking that I drive the car back to mel rapton, even though I stated I believed that I had no functional brakes beyond the emergency brake. I cauiously drove the vehicle back, I had to apply the emergency brakes twice in order stop the vehicle and avoid running any more red lights or hitting other vehicles. I was shocked that your service advisor suggested that I drive the vehicle back to the dealership when there was some problem with the braking system. The vsa modulator light came on as I drove the vehicle back. They said they "repaired" the vsa and brakes, but never the damage to the front of the vehicle, mel rapton refuses to respond to requests for repairs and Honda America isn't helping.

I have a 2007 ex with 13,000 miles and both of the tailgate (hatch) struts just failed suddently on 08/15/2010. There should be some additional safety mechanism on these so that they just don't collapse and cause harm (the hatch almost slam my 7-years old son on the head). Both can not go bad at one time and either one should support some weight. It is quite dangerous. These liftgate struts should be recalled before bad things happen. Honda should stand behind what they put in these cars.

We are owners of 2007 Honda Odyssey (VIN # [xxx] ). on July 13, 2010 as we were pulling into a parking lot, the right hand side back window suddenly exploded. The vehicle was traveling less than 5 per hour when this happened. Although four kids and one adult were in the vehicle at the time, no one was injured. We immediately reported the incident to the law enforcement (rpt # [xxx] with city of columbus div. Of police). The police searched for any foreign object that may have hit the window. They found nothing inside or outside of the vehicle. Although we have been experiencing temperature in the high 80's low 90's, it was in the 70's low 80's on that day. When we researched this issue on-line for similar incidents, there were numerous complaints with rear window exploding. We notified the local Honda dealership immediately for potentially defective windows. Although they indicated no specific complaint specific to right back window, they said Honda of America will be contacted and will get back with us. We have three kids under six years of age who primarily get transported with this vehicle. To ensure the safety of our family, we request the safety concern with the window be addressed asap. Information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

The vehicle we are reporting an issue with is a 2007 Honda Odyssey. The car was purchased last October so it is less then 1 year old and has less then 5,000 miles on it. On Tuesday 8/12/2008 the sliding door on the driver side of the car closed on my 2 year olds hand. The door malfunctioned in 2 ways a) the door has a sensor built in that if it meets resistance it bounces back open. In this case the door did not bounce back open as it should have and closed on my kids hand. B) once the door had already closed on his hand we could not get it to open back up and my kids hand was still stuck in the door. The door would not open no matter how many times we hit the open button or pulled on the handle. We had to call the police for help who in turn sent the fire department. The fire department was not able to get the door to open either even with 4 big guys pulling on it, the fire man had to use a crow bar to force the door open. We took my son to the hospital for xrays and they said that due to his age it is the only reason he has no broken bones (at age 2 the bones are still soft and able to flex) they do suspect he might have some fractures so they put him in a soft cast and told us to schedule a visit with a hand surgeon to inspect the hand to make sure there are no fractures and to check his growth palates. The fireman, hospital, and doctors all told us the same thing that if it had been my 6 or 4 year old whose hand got stuck we would have been dealing with broken bones. Now that this has happened to us I did a search on line and see that other people have had similar problems with the sliding doors on Honda Odyssey's all the way back to 2000. This is an issue that Honda has gotten away with up until now. Honda needs to take care of this issues that they know about and not sweep it under the rug.

Manufacturing defect of 2007 Honda Odyssey leads to eventual air conditioning failure as condenser is not protected from debris (such as rocks) hitting it and putting a hole in it. Hundreds, if not more, of other vehicle owners have had the same problems.

Honda Odyssey air conditioning failed after 10000 miles. Dealer claims rock punched a hole in the ac condenser. Price to fix - $700. American Honda says because cause is road damage, warranty does not cover it. This is a design flaw.

A rock damage my 2007 Honda causing freon to leak out. Honda dealer estimated that it will cost $800 to fix this. I believe that this is a design flaw with the condenser that Honda should recall. I could understand that a rock damage a windshield, but not some part in the engine. Please review more complaints at www.topix.com/forum/autos/Honda-Odyssey/ts3tfhtseucdodh9C.
