My ten year old daughter was nearly choked by the window in the door (passenger side) of my 2007 Honda Odyssey after the ignition was turned off. The car had just been turned off when she stuck her head out of the open window and another child mistakenly closed the window and it closed on her neck. I was still in the car and was able to restart and open the window within a few seconds so she was not seriously injured. However, had I immediately exited the car after turning it off I'm horrified to think what might have happened.

My 2007 Honda Odyssey windows won't work. The driver side window works but all other windows only make a clicking sound. It is not window locked! the windows just stopped working!

The windows would not roll back up. It was freezing outside and we were on a long road trip. Fuse box was checked. All working. Locks were checked. All working. The driver side window is the only window that will operate. Thankfully, they rolled back up and we locked it with the main switch on the drivers side. At first they worked intermittently, however, after unlocking the safety master window switch after our vacation, the windows no longer work (except for the driver side window). This is a huge safety issue when needing fresh air, or for getting car sick. I've seen many vehicles of this same manufacturer having this same problem when searching for solutions online.

On my daughters 2007 Honda Odyssey, it has an automatic up feature for the drivers window. Once the window starts up (closing), if you put down pressure on the window it will reverse, do down a few inches and stop. But if you put pressure on the window, like a child leaning out the window, and it starts up the override feature will not stop the window and make it go down a few inches. The window will continue to close, only stopping when the motor is overpowered. This does not happen until quite a bit of force is applied to whatever is blocking the window, and in the case of a small child it could cause quite a bit of injury. I have never encountered a vehicle with an auto-up feature for a window. With the amount of force it takes to overload the motor a child can be seriously injured.
