A/C went out one day when driving in the hot Texas summer heat. I took it to the repair shop and was told it was the filter bag (not sure of exact name) that is within the a/c system and it was shredded. There were tiny particles all over the a/c system so I had to replace the entire a/c unit. Even after replacing the entire unit I still have issues with my a/c such as outside air filtering in even though the recycle air is on and the shop tells me it is working properly. Also, it doesn't get as cold as it use it, and now it goes off and on and I'm still trying to figure out that issue.

This is not a BIG issue, just simply annoying because it will get cold, and then the compressor or whatever quits working and the humidity level rises causing the windows to fog over and the air gets really wet and heavy. I got two separate quotes at $1,300 and $1,700. I just keep driving it because sometimes it actually works; and summer is not that hot here.

I have only owned this car for two and a half months. I never had so much trouble with one car before.
