After driving two hours in a snowstorm, the Honda Pilot was not capable of climbing a hill at more than 60 km/h. When pushing on the gas pedal, the transmission was down shifting without accelerating. The maximum gas consumption was 17 liters/100km. When I opened the hood, I saw a lot of snow in the air inlet. I removed the air filter, to find out it was full of snow. After cleaning it, everything was fine.

The attached pictures were taken when I returned home two hours later. This time, the amount of snow was not enough to cause any problem.

My dealer looked at my vehicle the next day and did not find anything wrong. They think it is a design problem and will notify Honda Canada.
