My 2009 Honda Pilot always hesitates to shift gears around 40mph when accelerating. It stalls a bit upon mild acceleration. It works fine below or above the 40mph speed. It also runs better if you accelerate aggressively through 40mph, which is not my driving style. I have seen other complaints about this issue among Honda Pilot owners.
