Ridgeline RSL

  • Automatic transmission
  • 106,300 miles

Bought new , all Highway miles, changed oil every 3-4000 miles. Never had a problem , brought to Dealer (DCH Kay Honda Eatontown NJ) for oil ,filter plugs rear dif. fluid,ect.ect. replacement 11/19/2009 Ridgeline had 106000 miles on it. Drove it home same day. Didn't drive again till 11/21/09 . Oil light came on after 50 miles of driving. Pulled over checked fluids, oil was ok. got back in started , no oil light drove 3 miles to home . Got up 2am on 11/22 to go to work started Ridgeline oil light came on and engine rattled and knocked and smelled like oil burning. Shut off took 1991 MB420 (old reliable) to work. Had Ridgeline towed into Dealer . Dealer claimed it "just Happened like someone getting a heart attack" and claimed they did nothing wrong. New engine will cost $6,800.00!!! I have had Fords , Toyotas,MB, Acura and NEVER had an ENGINE BLOW apart .This was my first and LAST HONDA!!!
