Ridgeline RTL-E 3.5L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 61,800 miles

I usually sell vehicles after 3 years so I don't have to deal with repairs. I decided to save some money this time and keep the Ridgeline for a longer period of time. 1,800 miles after the 60K mile warranty expired, I got an alert on the dash that said "Blind Spot Info System Problem - Transmission System Problem", so I took it to the dealer. They promptly told me that the transmission had to be replaced. I asked them to contact Honda because I didn't want to pay the $8,500 cost. Honda ended up agreeing to pay $6,500 of the cost, leaving me with the remainder. So much for saving money by keeping the truck longer than normal. I was very disappointed that the transmission failed so soon. I expect Hondas to last longer without needing major repairs. I'm getting rid of this thing ASAP. Would you like to buy my Ridgeline?
