The contact owns a 2003 Hummer H2. The contact stated the shift linkage fell off causing the vehicle to shift out of gear while driving 35 mph. The gear shift was in drive and shifted on its own into neutral gear. The front pump transmission stopped working and failed to shift into gear. The contact was unable to drive the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to his residence. The dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was called and informed her that there were no recalls and her vehicle would not be repaired. They also informed her to pay for the repairs. The failure mileage was 130,000.

2003 H2 Hummer, transmission fluid leaking into the coolant system that requires removal of all hoses and radiator flushing and cleaning and possibly removing the transmission because of contamination. Extremely expensive and I believe to be a defect in workmanship.

Consumer was going 70 mph and the two front tires locked, while the two back tires kept moving. Vehicle then continued to skip. The driveshaft was replaced. For the past 8 month this vehicle has been in the shop more than at the consumer's home. The vehicle has needed a new alternator, transmission, battery, ignition and drive shaft. The roof leaked and the consumer had to replace one of the side windows.
