As we, the family, were driving home the front driver's side tire slightly bumped into a meridian divider resulting in deployment of the rollover airbags. The vehicle never changed angle of roll during the incident. Rollover sensor, in my opinion, is considerably too sensitive. All overhead airbags deployed in which I had to cut the airbags out to drive home. We were unable to use the front seat belts on the drive home due to locking when the airbags deploy. [xxx], our daughter, slept through the whole incident. An incident was reported with either California highway patrol or ventura county sheriff's department immediately after the incident took place. I do not know how many others have filed an incident, but after seeing other people complaining online, I know we're not even close to be the only one nor only GM make/model to be affected by the sensitive sensor. Luckily, this all happened later in the evening. If it were earlier, with more traffic, it could've caused a severe accident by lack of vision out of the vehicle and the startle that was created from the deployment of the airbags. Information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

While driving my 2006 Hummer H3 on a back country paved rd, doing the posted speed limit, my side curtain air bags on both sides deployed for no reason. The road had its bumps and stuff like any road but nothing to crazy. The vehicle was not in a crash or rolling over and should not have deployed airbags. This situation could have been deadly, thank god it wasn't. GM is sending out a third party inspector to look at the vehicle. I have a feeling this will end up in court. There has been many of these cases and GM has not corrected with recall or nothing. Something needs to be done and force them to do the needed recall on this.

The medical investigators stated that they believed that the driver was killed at first impact. The vehicle was towed and a police report was filed (South Carolina state trooper report E-111833). The failure and current mileage was 51,000.

The side impact restraints (side airbags) improperly deployed as I was driving down a gravel road near death valley, ca. Not the front airbags, just the sides. No substantial impact was encountered at the time that should have caused them to deploy.
