Clearly a problem in the design. No warranty if you buy the pieces. Probably the engine of the blower stops by no good reason and by that pulls to much current causing the plastic of the harness to burn out.

This is the second time I had to replace the harness for the a/c blower and heater. I am not sure why this is recurring but after seeing online it's a common problem. So at the very least GM should be reimbursing for the parts. The connection between the resistor and the harness was melted at the Orange wire next to the yellow wire in the harness assembly just like last time, and was backed in there from what appears to be some type of short.

It would nice if this is the last time I have to shell out $ for this repair. However if anything more serious results from their avoidance to recall this problem I can assure you there will be class action law suit and I will be in the drivers seat!

I have read that thousands of Hummers have had this same issue. It's a simple fix for GM. I put $80.00 in repair due to the parts and shipping related cost. In thinking about it after the fact, all I had to do was buy the resistor $16.00 to $20.00 off Ebay or Amazon, and then purchase connector pin clips at Lowes and that would be that...less than a $30.00 repair. It's easy to get to the harness, just go to Youtube and there is a video on where it is...took me less than 5 minutes to get it disconnected...good luck.
