The contact owns a 2009 Hummer H3. While driving 35 mph, there was a burning odor underneath the dashboard. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the connector module that controls the blower motor speed needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The VIN was included in NHTSA campaign number: 15V421000 (visibility) however, the part needed to repair the vehicle was unavailable. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 100,000.
