window exploded out of nowhere window exploded out of nowhere window exploded out of nowhere window exploded out of nowhere

I was driving home after work yesterday, traveling along the highway when my drivers side window exploded out of nowhere. There was no prior damage but from some reason it completely shattered and fell on me, leaving nothing left. I was very fortunate I wasn’t harmed and no accident occurred in my shock but some research I’ve done shows that this isn’t uncommon for Hyundai cars. I’ve taken to the dealership and they claim they are unable to find fault with the window because there’s nothing left of it and I have to pay $590AUD out of pocket.

I’m so upset, my interior and exterior of my car is damaged on a previously pristine car, I get it serviced every year with Hyundai and I’ve only had it 2 years. There is not a doubt in my mind that something wasn’t faulty with it. I hope Hyundai look into it further because this could have ended so much worse. The only other thing to note is for a few weeks prior that window wasn’t opening when I hit the button to go down and would only work after a few attempts.
