I am the owner of a 2001 Hyundai Elantra. I purchased the vehicle new. Less than one year ago, my air bag light came on. I took it back to the dealer and they had to replace it because it had "dried up"! they replaced the bag. Less than a year later, but now my warranty is just up, the light is back on. I have notified the dealer, the consumer division of Hyundai, the CEO of Hyundai of my concerns and all they have offered to do is split the part, only, with me at 50%. I do not feel that this is a responsible solution for a company to take on a part from the manufacturer that is less than a year old. It has to be a safety issue to have faulty airbags! I have never had an accident with the vehicle, it has never been inflated...why would it "dry out"? I have a couple of other issues, but I don't believe they could be safety related. I contacted the CEO directly by certified mail and never got a response back from him. Abl.pco
