Elantra GLS

The car ACCELERATED while driving! When brakes applied it seemed it would not stop so I shut it off when nearing a light. I had it towed home. I am now afraid to have anyone drive at any shop because it might accelerate again. And the least would have to have it towed home at my expense. I could have been seriously injured or seriously injured someone else, same as if anyone else would try & drive it. And my insurance will go up through no fault of my own. I do not see, so far, any recalls concerning this. Any replies from people with the same experience please reply.

Elantra GLS 4 cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 38,000 miles

The car accelerated when brakes applied; crashed into car. I am now afraid to drive the car home from the body shop because it might accelerate again on the way home. I could have been seriously injured or seriously injured someone else. Now my insurance will go up through no fault of my own. Not fair.
