Elantra 4-1975 2.0L Dohc

With this being my first Hyundai, and only having 34,597 miles on it I feel this car should not have such crazy problems already. I just paid out over 554.00 to get the driver side door fixed. I couldn't open the driver side door from the inside. One little tiny piece of metal was attached to a skinny round length of metal that broke off and the whole thing had to be replaced. With less than 36,000 miles and already having so much happen in the last 3 months I am really getting worried. I chose the Hyundai because I needed something I could afford. As a 73 year old lady that survives on my SS I can not afford 500.00 in repairs every time I turn around. If nothing else happens to this auto in the next couple years I will feel good about my choice of vehicle. However if this trend continues I will be really pissed off. Hyundai needs to build their vehicles better. I hope they changed that rod inside the door so that little metal piece doesn't just fall off. As for the air conditioner hose....a better make on this is needed.
