Elantra L 2.0L

  • Automatic transmission

Here in Canada not only does rain rush into the trunk when opening it, but large chunks of snow fall in too. Lovely! Doesn't anyone test these kinds of things before they are sold to the public?

Elantra 3.2L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 9,000 miles

ever since i bought the elantra, when it rains, upon opening the trunk, water from the trunk lid just runs right into the trunk onto anything in the trunk..( groceries, packages, etc. ) my carpeting in the trunk is going to get MUSTY< etc. plus under the carpeting, the spare tire rim will be getting rusted from the dampness coming from the water in the trunk ...... the dealer said " JUST TAKE A BIG BATH TOWEL AND WIPE THE TRUNK LID BEFORE OPENING THE TRUNK " !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT A CROCK OF B.S. !!!!! I didn't pay all this money for a car that i would have to WIPE OFF THE TRUNK BEFORE I STORED ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING IN MY TRUNK.. THEY SAID IT IS A '' DESIGN PROBLEM'' !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! does any other elantra owner have this problem ??????? please give me some input. thanks
