problem #5

Mar 012019

Elantra GL 1.8L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 205,052 miles

Almost all the buttons don't work anymore on the steering wheel. I have tried replacing the buttons but it didn't work. It must have to do with the wiring. The most annoying part of this is that I now don't have cruise control which is terrible.

Elantra

Cruise control again intermittent. Would not engage after using for several hours and shutting engine down for a break enroute from AZ to CA.

Elantra

  • Manual transmission
  • 23,000 miles

cruise control intermittent

Happened again on the way home from CA to AZ. Downshifted to 5th when a truck cut me off and the cruise control started working again. I've been to the dealer twice for this problem, so under the lemom law when (if) the cruise control fails for good, they will have to fix it.

Happened again. The first two times I took it to the dealer and they could not duplicate as the cruise control was working.
