I had a rear tire blowout causing the car to stop rapidly causing me to hit my face on the steering wheel so hard I got knocked out. My foot pressed on the gas and I hit a parked car. And my airbags never deployed. Insurance didn't pay my claim because it wasy falt I hit a parked car. Because I was knocked out. I don't remember anything about 30 seconds before the accident. Had my airbags worked maybe I could have remembered what really happened. When the collusion center inspected my car they said a defect in the car was the cause of my accident. But the insurance already denied the claim. The yellow tab was the airbag sensor

I noticed a loud ticking noise from my engine 6 months ago and took it to my mechanic assuming it needed an oil change sooner. However the noise became much worse the past month and a half and again took it to my mechanic which found it is an issue inside the motor itself and they could not figure it out except many 2013 Hyundai Elantra's have in fact had engine failure and recommended I take it to a dealer. I instead took it today to NTB assuming it was another issue with tires and unable to accelerate which almost caused me an accident on the interstate. NTB found that this is a serious issue with the engine and confirmed Hyundai is aware of the issue but will not issue any recalls due to this. My car is only 9 years old and when I bought it brand new there were already many recalls that was repaired. When I called the Hyundai dealership near me, I was told no recalls were issued but they are aware of the problem and just for me to bring it in it will be extremely costly just to look at it, and around $5,000/$7,000 to replace the engine if this is the issue which was confirmed by 2 auto shops. I have found many reports and documentation of engine failure with not being able to accelerate and my car has done this 3xs on an extremely busy interstate in which I was almost rear ended and would have been killed. I will once again contact the Hyundai Dealership near me with hopes of receiving a free inspection of the engine. I will also be sending information to our West Virginia Attorney General and close friend Patrick Morrisey along with documentation of recent and previous repairs of Brakes and countless purchasing of tires as well as having to replace tie rods numerous times. This also includes my cruise control will accelerate which I have received a ticket even when I told the officer my cruise control was stuck and no matter what I tried it would not shut off including when I stopped and put my car in park. My ultimate concern is the engine. The contact has stated that as of December 2022 the issue with the v

Sometime around last November or December, I took my vehicle for oil change and other services performed at Pep Boys, I was notified that all four tires are almost worn out and needs to be replaced. All four tires were replace sometime in December 2021 and they also did the wheel balance and wheel alignment. Around January 2022, while driving, I could feel the tightness on the steering wheel and also my car pulling left and at times crossing into the adjacent lane and was tough on the steering wheel to bring it back to the previous lane. I informed Pep Boys and they carried out some tests and also did a wheel alignment at no cost. The problem hasn't been fixed, there's a knocking noise in the steering wheel and the car is still pulling right, there's also the sensor light flashing in the dashboard, which the mechanic at Pep Boys is unable to fix even after carrying out diagnostic tests. The vehicle is available for inspection, it has been inspected by Pep Boys, the warning lamp for the wheels is continuously flashing and Pep Boys has been unable to determine the course.

The airbag light turned on about a month ago, and it stays on for a while then goes off then goes back on and so on. It is very disturbing that this could be a life threatening issue. My tire pressure sensor light is always on. I check the pressure at least once a week to make sure it-??s okay, but the light is always on.

I purchased this vehicle back in January of 2019 & when I purchased it the steering wheel made a clicking sound. I mentioned it to the car dealer & was assured it was nothing. After having my oil changed I was told my steering column needed to be replaced. This is quite disheartening as I have had the car for just one year & a half at this point. I was told to research for recalls in relation to this particular issues as it has been reported for other vehicles of the same make, model & year. I am afraid my car steering will go out while driving.

Premature wear on inside edge of rear tires. Wheel alignment indicates that the rear wheels are at the high end of the specification but there is no adjustment. On wet or icy road conditions the car lurches from side to side losing traction shifting side to side. Tires wear out after approximately 30K multiple brands have been tried. Dealer did multiple wheel alignments and eventually provided two new tires but never fixed the problem. I know of others who have bought the same year of vehicle and had the same issue. The lurking/shifting when driving on wet or icy road is very dangerous. The tire replacement issue is costly as well. Rear tires are chambered from factory causing this issue and no adjustment capabilities. This should be a factory recall and the rear axle should be replaced to properly align the rear wheels. My first set of factory tires where evenly on the front they were measured at 8/32 tread when the rear tires where unevenly from 8/32 on the outside to 0/32 on the inside two inches into the tire tread. Fought with deal fir months and months they finally won and wore me out. I just stop going to them and replace my tires as they wear out. Very costly and dangerous for others who don't know about the lurking/shifting to drive this car. There are no after market shim kits to correct this issue either. This should be a safety recall for this vehicle as the vehicle wheel alignment is not tracking properly with no adjustment.

The contact owns a 2013 Hyundai Elantra equipped with hankook tires, size: 205/55/R16. The contact stated that there was an air pressure leak in the tires. The vehicle was taken to dick hannah Volkswagen of portland (12345 E burnside St, portland, or 97233) where all the tires were checked, but no leaks were found although wires were seen protruding from the rear driver's side tire. The contact decided to have an independent mechanic replace all four tires. They mechanic also noticed an alignment failure that would cause the tires to wear again with a possible blowout if left unchecked. The contact left a message with the manufacturer to call him back. The contact will give them a return call after speaking with NHTSA. The vehicle failure mileage was 35,511. The tire failure mileage, dot number, and tire line were unknown.

I bought my 2013 Hyundai Elantra used with over $60,000 miles already driven. I received a recall letter for my car and took it to the Hyundai dealer who was supposed to fix a safety issue with the brake system. When I got my car back after the 'free repair' I noticed a clicking sound coming from the left wheel or passenger side wheel. I told the dealer who said I don't have extended maintenance coverage on it unless I purchase one which I was quoted another $300 plus a month on to cover repairs. I am paying $238.22 a month on time since June 2017 and insurance. Do I have to spend more than my budget for a car sold to me with the promise it had no problems? I don't think it's right that I have taken over someone's used car that obviously I am expected to pay for double because of the issues the car had and was not disclosed to me when I bought it. The clicking sound on the wheel is loud when I am driving slowly.

After I bought the car new in 2012, a couple weeks later I began noticing and still to this day, when I hit any size of bump in the road, the back tires feel like they are coming off the ground and the rear of the car fishtails. This happens from about 45 mph on up. On the highway, I hold on for dear life when I see a bump, and let off the gas. (not sure how much that helps, but it's just my instinct). If there is a row of bumps/holes, I have trouble keeping control of the car. Also I have to replace two tires about 24,000 miles, as they get uneven wear from a fixed? rear axle that is designed to not be aligned. Not sure if that is related to the car fishtailing. I bought the car with intention of passing down to my daughter, but would never let an inexperienced driver behind the wheel of this car for fear of them dying.

On Friday, May 26 2017, at 7am while driving on curve, the driver side front rim broke apart and the tire flew completely off. The car crashed to the pavement where the wheel had been. The road had recently been resurfaced so there were no pot holes or hazards. Hyundai was notified and they said to bring it in admitting this was a defective rim. After having the vehicle towed to sacramento Hyundai, we were told, 'it's an insurance issue'. the insurance said, 'it's a manufacturer issue'. then we contacted safe-guard regarding the platinum protection program purchased with the vehicle, and were told that it's not covered because it's a defect and they don't cover defects.

The rear end of the car jumps around and feels unstable in wind or on wet or uneven surfaces. It feels like I could easily lose control, very frightening. I have 4/32 tire tread left on 60K michelins after only 32K miles driven. The first set of tires lasted only 28K. This form will not let me proceed without a date, but this is a continuous problem, not a one time thing.

The ESC indicator/traction control activated while I was driving 50 mph. I lost complete control of the vehicle, the car headed straight for a cement guardrail on a bridge. The car decelerated, I was unable to steer and the tires screeched on the ground. I was able to push the ESC off button and recover control of the car, avoiding the crash. I knew about the off button only because we have had this problem since June and Hyundai was unable to fix it because it did not duplicate for them. Previously we were driving at a very slow rate of speed, this time it almost killed my daughter and me! my car has been with Hyundai auto-nation, columbus, ga since August 24, 2016 I called on August 25 but the car VIN # was not asked of me, the complaint ticket number is 1010763 the first time the ESC activated my husband was driving. The ESC turned on, while he was accelerating onto an on-ramp back in June 2016. We turned the car off, researched it on the side of the road, found the "off" button and brought to Hyundai the next day and they were unable to fix the problem! a week later the ESC turned on in a parking lot while I was driving, hit the ESC off button and the car behaved until Aug 24th. I called Hyundai to report, but since it didn't occur again, they said do not bring it in. On August 24th, the ESC came on while I was in a school zone, I hit the off button, I took the off button off, to see if it would activate again so I could bring it into Hyundai (they said it had to be malfunctioning at the time of visit to be fixed) it malfunctioned! almost killing my myself and my daughter! if I hadn't known about the ESC off button, I would definitely have crashed!
