Driver side sliding door opened spontaneously and would not stay closed. It didn't matter which button I tried (driver control, door jam, or key fob), door would not stay closed. I powered it closed to drive to dealer - stopping several more times to re-power it closed on the way. Part had to be ordered, so I repeated the above to return home. I was concerned about the safety lighting on the doors draining the battery while unlatched door sat in garage. By the time the part arrived (after christmas), car battery was at '0' charge (battery is only six months old). I had to contact aaa to get the car started to drive it to the dealer. My concern is that there is no manual override for the automatic doors, and no off switch for the automatic door lighting that drained my battery. I could have been on a freeway, I could have had passengers or goods in my back seat - serious safety issues! of course I need to have the problem repaired, but for safety's sake, I should have had the option to switch off the automatic door and manually close it. If I had not been in my neighborhood, this could have been much more serious. The next safety issue is the fact that the broken door drained my battery to zero! again, what if I had not been home? my 2007 Hyundai Entourage has only 53500 miles on it, I have no small children who abuse the doors, and I responsibly maintain my vehicle. The doors have already been serviced on two previous occasions. Please create a manual override for the automatic sliding doors.

Since this first incident we have had problems with our power sliding doors on our van. The doors have done the "dinging" the crunching and grinding noise, opened when turning a corner. Often comes unlatched and makes the light come on and the alert. This has happened mostly on the passenger side but we have had issues with both doors. I'm tired of fighting with it and have run out of warranty so now I have to pay to get it fixed and haven't had the extra cash to do so. Maybe if someone dies from this Hyundai will take notice, guessing that's what it's going to take. They realized they had a lemon on their hands, why do you think it was only made 3 short years.

Power sliding doors do not stay closed, even if car has begun moving. Sometimes reopen and close rather than latching shut, and have to be closed manually. One side has stopped operating all together and must be used manually. Door being used manually is to heavy for children to operate safely and makes a grinding noise. Issue started shortly after bumper to bumper warranty expired and has been persistent over the past 6 months to a year. Is a safety concern for doors opening and re-closing on children exiting or entering the vehicle or door opening on a child while the vehicle is in motion. **date and mileage are approximate.

Power sliding door and other electrical problems on a 2007 Hyundai Entourage. Multiple replaced parts to include battery (after 24 months of use), horns, power window switch, ac/fan clutch, blown engine oil seal, tensioner, ECM with relay, brake light switch with brake lights, etc. No help or concern from dealership other than "we have never seen this issue before" or "all of these parts are under warranty, what more do you want use to do".

Power sliding door failed to lock resulting in it opening on highway at 65mph. No way to secure door had to tie it to keep from opening failure has occurred 4 times dealer replaced latch under warranty first time 2nd time failed on trip to Canada dealer stated my warranty was not covered in Canada but I would be recompensated if I sent the invoice to hyundia. Sent all paper work they requested and was advised that it was a maintenance problem and not covered. Even though it had only been 5 months since the last repair the slider has now failed again and there is no question that Hyundai has a serious safety problem with the Entourage lt van as the number of complaints on this vehicle is huge and always on the passenger side slider. Hyundai stop production of this model after only 2 years and it is my feeling that they realized they had a design flaw and did not want to chance a recall if they continued making them. The Hyundai Entourage with power sliding doors should be recalled before some one falls out on the highway and killed. Sent all.

We purchased our 2007 Hyundai Entourage new in July '07. Within 2 months we began having problems with the electric sliding doors on both sides. Sometimes the doors do not close all the way, or close and reopen. Sometimes the doors won't open with any method, keyfob, buttons, or manual. The doors sometimes make a sound like there is grit in the track. We have taken this to the dealership multiple times and even showed them video of it happening. Since they can't reproduce it there has been no work done to fix it. We also have intermittent battery drain. The battery has been dead 5 times for no apparent reason. The passenger side mirror will often not adjust unless it is moved to the bottom outside corner first and then it can be adjusted. The memory for the seats/mirrors are often lost. To me these all indicate a problem with the electronics in this vehicle. Dealership has not been able to find anything to fix. We also have experienced a shimmy at highway speeds. Replaced the tires and had them road balanced to remove the worst of the shimmy. Independent garage did this and said the tires and the rims are fine. It's been close to 3 years and we are still experiencing all of these issues.

Have had numerous issues with the sliding doors of the Hyundai Entourage. Just today the door is stuck in the open position and neither the automatic nor manual way of closing will work. I am sick of climbing with my two kids through the back of the mini van to put them in their seats. Dealer suggests that I drive it in with the door open..

Issue: Malfunctioning passenger side sliding door on my 2007 Hyundai Entourage. The door occasionally does not shut properly when closing the door (while in the power mode). The Hyundai dealership has tried to replace a computer module on one visit and the latch assembly on another visit. The first visit they indicated they could not duplicate the problem, so they did not do anything. Please help. It is of real concern to my family because our 20 month old son rides in that seat. We see this as a safety issue.

1. driver side sliding door has not worked properly since purchase. Also happens on occasion with passenger side sliding door. Herculean effort needed to open them. Very risky in emergency situation. 2. tire pressure monitoring system failure. In replacing all 4 tires at 47,000 miles (10-25-08), the valve stems containing the tire pressure monitoring system were not removable without tremendous effort. Once reinserted, the valves proceeded to flatten one of our new tires and seriously reduce inflation in another. Result: Need another new tire and replacement of valve stems.

I have a 2007 Hyundai Entourage gls (base model with manual doors). I have talked with the dealership and the manufacturer to no avail. My concern is that if the 2nd row windows are rolled down and you open the 2nd row door(s), there is nothing to stop the door from rapidly bouncing back and slamming shut. In other words, if you are on an incline what so ever (hood lower than the tail), the door will come slamming back-possibly crushing your hand or a small childs head!! it will happen on level ground as well, but is more pronounced on an incline. This could definitely lead to significant injury, especially in a small child.
