I have filed two other complaints on this issue ( 10548785 & 10558354 ) and had Hyundai address it without any satisfactory resolution. The latest response by Hyundai was to inspected the vehicle which was done on 1/23/2014. At that time, I was told that Hyundai would contact me on the found results of this "inspection". well here it is 2 mos later and I have not received any response from the person doing the inspection or from Hyundai. I recently contact Hyundai concerning this lack of response and was told that there wasn't a problem and that the vehicle issue is "normal " for the vehicle. I requested a letter from Hyundai stating specifically that" this soft pedal condition is a normal operating condition for the Genesis and that it is safe". I have not heard back from Hyundai to date. My concern is that Hyundai is stonewalling this issue just like GM has done with the issue of the faulty ignition that was known to be a problem years ago and is now coming to light. Where has the NHTSA been for all these years" what is the status of the investigation by NHTSA concerning the soft pedal problem with the Genesis" I will keep this as an open issue until the investigation is complete; let's hope it isn't buried in the NHTSA files for years like in the case of the GM issue with the faulty ignition switch. These investigations should be completed in 90 days or less.
