I am sending this email in regards to my dashboard cracking around the airbag. It looks like someone has taken a box cuter and sliced my dashboard. Everyday, I notice more and more cracks. Now I am at three cracks (one was small and now it has spread) I am from southern California and my car is parked outside with windows cracked half way with a window shade for my front window. I am concerned about this as I do have passengers in my car and not sure if the airbags will deploy or not. Looks like this is a problem as looking at the Hyundai dashboard, there are many concerns. Hopefully I will hear back from you soon to see what can be done about this problem. I would hate for the airbag to deploy and someone can get hurt or killed. I am providing you with photos..

Brake unit failure. Car brake pedal became soft, needs to be pressed to the floor to get the car to stop...and even then it does not stop fast enough to be safe. Online research shows that this is a known issue for this model and Hyundai has been covering the cost for this as it is attributed to a part installed at the factory.

A little over a year ago the brakes on my 2009 Hyundai Genesis completely failed and the pedal went to the floor while attempting to exit the freeway. I was able to avoid a collision with another vehicle and got the car to a complete stop. The brake pedal eventually regained pressure and began functioning again. Over the next 5-6 months the brakes progressively got worse each time I drove the car. I was consistently having to pump the pedal and needed to keep giving myself more and more distance to stop the vehicle. Throughout this period the exterior brake lights and other sensors on the car would stop functioning entirely for periods of time. Those lights and sensors eventually quit and never turned back on. At this point vehicle brakes were getting worse and worse and it had no functioning brake lights so I took it to the dealer that I originally purchased the car from for repairs. The dealer was not associated with the manufacturer and was not able to make repairs to the car but they were able to diagnose what was going on with my vehicle. They documented and described some sort of contamination in the brake fluid that had turned it into a white gooey substance and that fluid caused significant damage and wore completely through the ABS module. Coincidentally that is the exact same description that was given for the recalls in 2013 that were associated with this make and model of car (NHTSA campaign 13V489000). The previous owner did have those 2013 recall repairs made at about 60,000 miles but the same issues that caused the first recall are obviously occurring again with the car currently at about 120,000 miles. The manufacturer dealer wants $2500 to replace the ABS module and to reset the computer which is over half of the blue book value. That along with the $1000 already spent to diagnose the problems, the car is now borderline totaled at this point.

2009 Hyundai Genesis 3.8 4D sedan with 55000 miles. Lately, my car dash will blink "P" which is a notification for transmission is on parked even the shifter is in a different mode. This happens randomly and I am worried hope don't lockup transmission during the high speed. I have recorded a video of this scenario if asked. Btw this happens in both in motion or in stationary mode.

My car won't stop as the brake pedal goes to the floor all the way down.the ABS & ESC lights come on when this happens. The brake fluid was changed in 2014 and again in 2019. A new master cylinder, front brake lines, brake light switch and diode was installed in March 2019. Took it to dealer in April 2019 and they all was ok except ESC light was on. Drove it home and less then 60 miles the brakes petal again went to the floor. Taking it back to dealer in lima, oh on May 15, 2019. I put in a complaint to consumeraffairs@hmausa.com, but the girl who returned the call, read from a script and said sorry, your car is out of warranty. Please reference your case number 15737333. This car is unfit to drive and from other postings, it will cost $2500 to repair. The cars value is between $3600/5600 dollars.this is an on going safety problem that Hyundai has put off making a proper repair, relying on time and miles to get out of a safety recall. I'm uploading photos of brake fluid taken from my car in March and April 2019

Takata recall" 4. the airbag light will not go off. Atlanta police stated I not drive the car and to report it. My family lives could be in danger. No mechanic wanted to touch it. I would very much like to this these items repaired, especially the airbag signal/light. I don't know if it will go off or not but I need this done before anything else. I will upload the picture via email. System issues. I purchased a used 2009 Genesis sedan in September of 2015. We have noticed that several unusual issues have surfaced since the purchase. I was never notified of any of the recalls or potential issues below. 1. the console for the seater heaters are melted or got overheated and is damaged. 2. when the brakes need updated they are very dry (per the repairman) recall - 114. 3. window shield wiper seems to have a defect.

On two separate occasions, the brake pedal went all the way to the floor. The first time this happened, the car had been sitting all night and it immediately malfunctioned when I started it. After driving a short distance, turning the car off, and restarting it-the brakes worked. My husband took the car to an independent mechanic who could find nothing wrong. The second time this happened, someone pulled out in front of me and I had to hit the brakes. The ABS engaged and I did get the car to stop, but the brake pedal went to the floor again. After pumping the brake, it worked again but the brakes still seem soft. I have scheduled a visit with the Hyundai dealership in 2 days. There are no warnings before this happens and it seems like a terrible safety issue. After reading all the other complaints, I don't understand why Hyundai has not done more with this issue.

The obdii egr monitor is extremely difficult to set under normal conditions. My battery lost charge 18 months ago and I replaced it. I passed my smog test 6 months prior to that. Now I am unable to get the egr monitor to "set". the dealer says that 3-4 people call them every week with the same problem and they currently have a car on the lot that has the same problem, preventing its sale. Two smog repair shops that I checked (including the one recommended by the dealer) will not guarantee that they can get egr to "set" even when they run the car on a dyno.

Was driving car to meet my husband and when I turned the corner, he was frantically waving me to get out of the car because it was on fire, in the front under the driver's side bumper. I got out and saw flames shooting from under the bumper. With the fire department on the way, we made several attempts to put the fire out w/water to no avail. A nearby store owner came out with a fire extinguisher and was able to put the fire out. Once fire department arrived, he indicated that it appeared to be an electrical fire. Once they moved the car, my husband attempted to start it and it started billowing out smoke. At that point, the fire department ordered him to turn it off and have the car towed and to not drive the vehicle again
