Genesis Coupe Ultimate 3.8L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 100 miles

From time of purchase and continuing until today (17,000-miles), vehicle has either almost stalled-out or in some cases, actually stalled-out when accelerating "strongly" from a "Dead Stop".

If I do a cautious and slow acceleration, no problem but, when pulling out into heavy traffic and attempting a "strong" acceleration to get up to traffic speed, vehicle will do any of "severe hesitation" to "out-right stall completely". This seems particularly true if when making a right-hand turn.

Took it to dealer (not where I bought the vehicle quite a few miles away -- Bob Bell of Glen Burnie -- but to local dealer -- Hanover Hyundai, Hanover, PA -- and they test-drove it, saw/felt the problem, agreed that it could be dangerous but had no solution.

Otherwise, love the vehicle and sure want to keep it but, also for certain, do not want to be damaged/injured from a rear-end crash due to stalling-out when pulling into moving traffic in a way that -- without stated problem -- I would be quite able to get up to speed and cause cause a slow-down of moving traffic.

NOTE: Purchase was after owning -- and enjoying -- an Hyundai Tiberon which, with nearly 150,000-miles and no accidents or severe mechanical problems, is now being enjoyed by my son and grandchildren.
