The liftgate struts can come apart at anytime. We had the right side come apart last year. Hyundai replaced under warranty. Today the left one has failed. The struts have powerful springs inside and I think someone could get hurt.

The rear liftgate will not close more than half-way down whether using the remote, the dash-mounted switch, the rear inner button, or manually. Since the rear lights including the stop and turn lights) are mounted on this door, this seems like a safety issue. We've contacted every Hundai dealer in town and were told they might be able to get us in 3 weeks or so down the timeline. Googling this particular issue came up with one earlier similar failure that turned out to be a plastic part that broke and jammed the door.

Both rear liftgate supports have developed cracks in their plastic housings. The cracks result in a loss of function for the power liftgate and a possibility of the springs inside popping out of the housing and striking the operator.

When exiting the vehicle the door ripped a gash in my right leg in the calf area. There was a recall, they supposedly fixed it. It happened again after the repair was made. It doesn't look to me the repair was made. It was repaired by Doug's Hyundai on 04/07/2022. I have contacted HyundaiUSA and have a case opened but all I am getting is the runaround. Case 20085813, contact is Haley 833.462.8722 ext 65118.

Just purchased this vehicle yesterday. Took it for a test drive two days earlier and noticed very strong interior odor, such a carpet cleaner or disinfectant, which we assumed was from dealership trying to clean, but other cars we test drove did not have this smell. Both my us and and I came home that afternoon with a strong headache that lasted all night. We assumed it was from stress and car shopping's. we still decided to purchase the car, assuming it was still just a disinfectant and would go away. Brought home, opened all doors and windows and back hatch to air out. Sprayed with natural air freshener all over carpets and floors. After one night of sitting closed inside the garage, opened up the doors to find the smell is getting stronger and more intense. Opened the windows to let air out and sprayed carpets again. Today, an article was released that thousands of other Hyundai Palisade owners are complaining of the same issue, and is tied to the higher end models and nappa leather seat, which we have. We now have learned that Hyundai has been made aware of this issue and are not responding. We are sad to find out that our 1 day old car (to us) has such a widespread problem that we were not aware of and cannot stand. We are concerned about the materials and products used to build this high end vehicle and it's affects on our health. I am very sensitive to smell amd have complained of this awful scent since we first sat in the car. Now that we know this may not be something that will just air out and may be an inherent problem directly from Hyundai, we want action. This may be the real reason why the previous owner turned it in. It is awful and I don't feel comfortable sitting myself or my family in our newly purchased vehicle. We feel Hyundai should replace or repair this problem with a recall!

Driver side whistle when driving the car if the when the wind is coming from the driver side of the car. The problem seems tot be limited to highway driving and only low whistles in the city. It don't seem to have any whistling when there is no wind, tailwind or headwind. The whistle when on the highway is so loud it is distracting and making it difficult to concentrate on driving therefore a safety hazard. The dealer say it is been researched and is hard to reproduce therefore is doing nothing about the issue. I have video file for you to listen to that I can upload somewhere or send.

Horrible whooshing sound comes through both the driver and passenger side windows when going 50mph or above. Hyundai has know about it since early their and issued a service bulletin; however, they later retracted it with no additional next steps. This has happened since I purchased the car in February and has been acknowledged / confirmed by the dealer. That said, the dealer will not take action without another service bulletin.

Wind noise during driving at 35-40 mph in cabin near driver and passenger doors, becomes more louder on the freeway. A crack in the front windshield after rock/debris had nicked the front windshield while on the freeway. The crack quickly keeps on expanding in a short period of time after getting nicked.

Wind noise from front driver & passenger door/window. Initial problem was low hum/whistle from driver's side intermittent at highway speeds. Has happened more recently at 50 mph. More recently a high pitched whistle is coming from the passenger front window area at speeds as low as 30 mph. Both sounds are very distracting to the driver.

Wind noise occurs with windows/ doors, to include the sunroof. It occurs at all vehicle speeds. When the car is sitting, a 10mph gust of wind also causes this noise. The sun roof is the worse when it comes to this noise, but the shade dampens the sound, so it's never open.

Two issues: 1. warning indicator comes on along with a warning that reads "check blind-spot collision warning system." These warning come on after driving for about 10 minutes, and come on even when no other vehicles are around or in blind-spot. Seems to be a faulty sensor. At time of writing this, vehicle only has about 500 (five hundred) miles. 2. loud whistle/wind noise from coming in from driver side door. Occurs when traveling at approximately 50+ mph. Seems like the door is not sealed properly, even though it is shut all the way. Loud noise could cause driver to be unable to hear emergency sirens, which could be fatal or cause traffic violations. With both issues the vehicle is in motion, on city streets and highway. The warning indicator with the blind spot warning will even stay on when the vehicle is pulled into a lot, comes to a stop, placed in park, and with no one around.

There is a very loud whistling noise at the drivers door when driving at highway speeds with a right to left crosswind. I discovered this on a 2000 mile trip I took recently, and my ears are still ringing two weeks later. I may have hearing loss.

There are two complaints... 1. within two weeks of purchasing the vehicle, a crack developed in the middle of the windshield, just below the rear-view mirror mount. Per the dealership recommendation we went to safelite for an opinion about the cause, since we had no memory of anything hitting the windshield, and the safelite manager provided a written opinion (via email) that there was no evidence of impact, and it was his opinion that there was a defect in the glass. Hyundai corporate stated that since we could not prove a defect existed, it would not be covered by warranty. 2. similar to several other complaints, there is a loud vibration that eminates from the driver side window/door whenever the vehicle reaches 50mph or higher. Usually a decrease in speed mitigates the noise, but if can be rather deafening while driving on the highway.
