Santa Fe Limited 3.3L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 121,498 miles

Driving down a country road 60mph lots of traffic used by logging trucks and such as the ESC OFF light appeared on my '07 Santa FE and it came to a slow 5mph and the steering was extremely hard to get off to the side of the road. It was very scary and without any warning I was almost hit by a tractor trailer behind me. Has anyone gotten any solution to this problem? I have read comment after comment of this problem and am surprised that there's not any recall. I am afraid to even drive the only vehicle I own now, especially with my grandson.

Santa Fe SE V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 149,000 miles

the ECS off light is on and we can not get the ECS to engage when pressing the button. We can hear what sounds like a whistle and the front end feels like it wants to lock up and the back end feels like it is fish tailing. I contacted Hyundai America to see if our vehicle was part of the recall and of course, they say it is NOT, but maybe it could be down the road. UGH!! Although some of these items were on recall, only two were listed on the vehicle at the time we had the issue, so we had to pay out of pocket for the other repairs and now, we are going to have to do it again for this issue, because we are NOT SAFE to drive the vehicle with our family. Although we loved our 2003 Santa Fe which had very minimal issues, It just seems we are constantly putting this 2007 in the shop for one thing or another. I am starting to lose confidence in this brand!!
