The first time had to replace the oil press sensor in my 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe was in 2014 (140,000 kms), again in July 24/15 (170,000 km) and again in Sept 3/16 (200,000 KM).

Santa Fe 3.2L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 46,724 miles

The sensor is inside the engine below the manifold which has to be removed. The sensor only cost in the area of $30 but the replacement is a three hour job and will have a total repair cost of $364.52. I have read on you tube that this has occurred on several 2010 models but Hyundai has never placed a recall. I bought the vehicle in 2013 and they say it's not covered under warranty not very happy having to spend $300 dollars to have a $30 part installed.
