Santa Fe V4

  • Automatic transmission
  • 75,247 miles

It started last week with the car accelerating for no apparent reason, when put in park, to a few days later the engine light came on and within a matter of minutes it was bogging down to the point I had to pull over and find an alternate route to get home. I am now in the process of researching on the internet to see if anyone else has had this issue; is it covered by the manufacturer, etc.

Update from Jan 21, 2017: did a check on it and it was the APS- accelerating programing sensor, in other words the sensor for the brake pedal. Did the recommendations of checking the wires and sensor and drove it for hour 1/2 and no more issues for this particular problem. I see the back brakes had a recall I will have to have addressed.

Santa Fe 2.4L 4 C

  • Automatic transmission
  • 10 miles

when you pull out into traffic there is a pause like the eng is stalling and then catches up, stop lights parking lots, when you are turning it seems to be worse. Have had it back to dealership several times . they say there is no problem. I am afraid that I will be hit one day because the car stops and then lunges.
