On May 27, as I was driving home less than 3 miles from where I had left the mall, I noticed my A/C quit blowing cool air. I looked down and all my gauges and lights on my dash were not working. I realized this was the same problem as one month ago. It was Sunday, I drove on home about 10 more miles, not knowing what speed I was traveling and knowing if I stopped and put it in park, my gear shifter would be locked up again.
On Monday morning, I popped the over ride cover button to make contact with the gear shifter button. By the hidden shift over ride button, you got to have a thin, pointy object to do that, it does not come standard with your car. I found a screwdriver works well for this.
I got my car cranked, with no dash lights, gauges or cool A/C, and put it into drive while pressing that button. Then drove the 10 miles to the dealer service center. Same place I took it before. I was given another loaner, that I used until they claimed it was ready, I picked it up on June 4, 2018.
This time they did not do anything other than replace a fuse. I was told they do not why it is happening since they had already replaced the junction box last month. This time I was given a new fuse and instructed on which one seems to be blowing and how to replace it. They told me to keep a log of the conditions when this occurs, if it occurs again.
Not real sure what my mileage was, as I was not given a service invoice, since this case is still open (?). They had not closed it but still sent me home with my Santa Fe.
