Couple of months a go I'd noticed that the engine had an unusual sound. Whenever the engine shifts to a lower gear the engine sounded like a diesel engine (I don't really know how to describe it, those who ever heard a small truck with a diesel engine may know what I'm talking about) had like a rough sound, I believe. I took to the shop and the mechanic told me it may be that I had to recalibrate the valves. I don't know what exactly he meant with that, but he told me I could still drive the car, it wasn't that big of a deal.
Does anyone knows what I'm talking about or have and idea? Please help. Thank you.

Light knocking under load quickly increased to loud knocking and loss of power. As the car is now outside of the extended 120K warranty, I now have a pile of scrap metal. Unfortunate part is that the car is just about to be paid off and otherwise in very good condition. I will visit the dealer today to see if any help is available or if I should just write off this company as one to avoid. Resale for Hyundai is going to tank soon. Get rid of yours now before it happens to you!
