Sonata GLS 2.4L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 55,000 miles

I too have a problem with my steering. When I test drove the car it was pulling, but I attributed that to a low tire (yes a red flag that the dealer let me test drive a car that wasn't road worthy). I mentioned it to the salesman and he said they would fix it before I bought the car. Of course the mechanics go home early and they had me there until after they left so I had to come back and well I just took it to Les Schwab to get air in the tires...the warning light went out automatically.

I have since had the light come back on, which means I have a leak in the tire that came with the car I bought. I thought I was a better buyer than I was that day...they really got me. So I had an alignment done by the dealer and they admitted it was off and that is why it pulled to the right.

Now that it is fixed, it has a mind of its own. Sometimes it will drive straight, sometimes it pulls left and sometimes it pulls right. The tires are extremely worn after the 1,200 miles I have put on it in the last month (like I said I was a bad buyer). I should have demanded new tires when I bought the car. So I now have to make another appointment to see if there is something loose in the steering or if this is just how the car behaves.

Rant over. Going back to my meek self.

Sonata LX V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 2,000 miles

From the first month of ownership , I noticed the car pulling to the side, took it back, the dealer said the alignment was off. In the first year I had this car aligned 5 times, each time the dealer absorbed the charge. It has been aligned about 6 times in the past 2 years. Now I just live with it, cause it's too expensive to get an alignment every 6,000 miles or so.
