Sonata SD 2.5L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 150,000 miles

I bought the car only to notice the engine was making sounds. After research, I discovered there was a recall made on the call but the manufacturer won't fix it because it was past the time frame - but that doesn't mean the defect is nonexistent. I hope they fix my car. It's really sad big companies tend to exploit the common American and this has to stop.

I was told there is a recall on the engines of 2011-2014 Hyundai Sonata..Have not received a letter stating so but i am definitely going to look further in to this..is this why they are trying to put me in to a newer model?? hmm makes you wonder.

Sonata Limited 2.0t

  • Automatic transmission
  • 19,768 miles

Stopped at a red light and my foot on the brake, the engine suddenly revved to a high RPM. I pressed the brake as hard as possible while the car lurched a few feet forward. I slammed the gear into "Park" and the car returned to idle.
