problem #2

Mar 252015

Sonata Hybrid

  • Automatic transmission
  • 79,000 miles

Check engine light has been on for over 2 years. No performance issues, just annoying to see it everytime we drive the car. When it first started, we could get it to clear with adjusting the gas cap. I'm guessing it's connected to the other problem that started last year with the air flap system.

Update from Oct 23, 2017: The mileage of 79,000 was a guess, since I found the video from the air flap system was at 65,355...The check engine was before that so probably around 60,000

This was done just before Sisley Hyundai sold the dealership to Ajax Hyundai. The mil light went on January 2016, but new owner did not recognize my situation paper work on replacement of nvld valve. So I contacted Hyundai Canada, after numerous corespondent mail they gave me the name of service person and I thought finally the things improve. Long story end nothing was done, apparently the problem is between them no one is to recognize my " Protection Plan " which expiration date till 2019 08 19.which I purchase extra on top of the car price at the time. So I do not know what ales. could be done Thank you, I hope there is someone who is able to help me. P. F.
