The contact owns a 2007 Hyundai Tiburon. The contact stated that while refueling, fuel would spew back out of the filler neck. The contact mentioned that the check engine warning light illuminated. The failure had recurred multiple times. The vehicle had not been taken to the dealer for a diagnosis. However, the dealer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that dirt could become wedged in the canister purge cycle system causing the warning light to become illuminated. The vehicle was expected to be diagnosed on a later date. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 125,000.
