Tucson 4-cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 90,000 miles
The contact owns a 2007 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated that the transmission failed. The transmission was replaced twice; once by the dealer and the second transmission was replaced by a certified transmission specialist. The failure was not corrected and the vehicle hesitated while driving at various seeds. The check engine warning light was also illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer to have a diagnostic performed for the most recent failure. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 90,000 and the current mileage 240,000. Updated 08/27/13 the consumer stated the first transmission was replaced at 90,000, then the second transmission was replaced at 189,000. The consumer now needs a third transmission. A code was scanned, and it read the torque converter clutch relay switch needed D to be replaced.
