Our Drivers side Tuscon window stopped working. It won't go up or down and we tried to take it to the dealership and they are saying its over $200 just to take a look at what's going on. And the estimate to fix it can be between 500-1600. That is obnoxious. I left it for a bit and now need it fixed but the cost is outrageous. I am researching and seeing that this is a common issue in this car and Hyundai needs to take responsibility and do a recall.

Power window just failed this weekend. I have never had a problem but I've only owned the car for eight months. The driver side window makes a loud grinding noise. I can no longer roll it up and down which makes using any drive thru or ATM highly annoying and embarrassing. A 2016 vehicle should not be experiencing these many problems!

Several months ago, my driver side window became stuck in the open position. Rain was in the immediate forecast and I also had concern that I could not secure my car. It was on a Saturday and I could not get my car repaired untitled Monday. It severely limited my ability to use my car and the long, very noisy drive to the dealership in freezing temps was absolutely traumatizing!

Today, June 2, 2021, the problem recurred with the front passenger window. I was on the way to a medical appointment and had to pray that nothing bad happened to my very vulnerable vehicle. Rain is in the forecast for tomorrow so I stopped at Home Depot to get some plastic sheeting to try to keep the rain out. Once again, my car was totally vulnerable because I could not close the windows.

To have this happen twice suggests that there is a systemic problem with the car, not just a combination of flukes. I've had cars with over 200K miles not have a problem with the windows. This 2016 Tucson has less than 34K miles and it has happened twice! Something is wrong with this picture.

Now the passenger window motor has failed with the window in the down position, so I am unable to drive the car anywhere as I cannot leave it unattended with the car completely open. Additionally, I can’t drive the car on rainy days (which is any day here in south Florida) because we are in the rainy season. In short, I have not had full use of the car. This is my 3rd Hyundai since 2009 and I’ve never had these issues.

This is the driver side window - it can’t go to the drive-through on a rainy day since the window does not go up or down. This is also a safety concern if I were to get trapped in the car, given the issues with the door locks.

Third electrical issue with this 2016 Tucson in 2 years. Suddently the drivers window will no longer go down. At least it isn't stuck down instead of up, but this is just yet another issue with this POS car.

Update from Dec 21, 2018: Hyundai dealership told me there is nothing wrong with my window, and that the "motor probably froze." It's 50 degrees and raining, and it's now become a repeat issue. Trying a different dealership and will provide hopefully a solution soon.
