Veloster 1.6L

  • Manual transmission
  • 42,220 miles

Bought this car at 39,000 miles. I just got into driving stick and i got the hang of it pretty quickly. By 39,500 miles, I was driving stick great. The other day while driving around, I was accelerating from a stop light very lightly, and the car locked up the front tires, rocked me back and forth like a boat, and died right there in the middle of the intersection stuck in first gear. It has a horrible moan in 1st, 3rd and 4th gears, and sometimes it likes to lock the tires when you are in reverse and you pop in the clutch to go into neutral. 2nd gear doesn't exist anymore and this requires a total transmission rebuild for all the damage that was caused by having 2nd gear destroyed. I now have to wait several weeks for my car because of this horrible manual transmission design. Way to go Hyundai! Thanks for pissing off all your customers!
