The contact owns a 2002 Hyundai XG350. The contact stated when turning a corner at various speeds, the vehicle would lose traction. The vehicle was previously involved in a crash as a result of the failure. The contact had all four tires replaced in an attempt to correct the failure but to no avail. Most recently, the air bag warning light illuminated on the instrument panel. The dealer advised there was a shortage in the system. The vehicle was taken to a different dealer for a second opinion and was advised that the air bag possibly was not present in the vehicle. The failure mileage was 83,000 and the current mileage was 119,000.

Also the sub-frame was replaced according to recall campaign id number 09V124000 (suspension). The manufacturer was contacted in reference to reimbursement. The manufacturer refused financial responsibility for the repair cost associated with the recall. The failure mileage was 50. The current mileage was 90,000. The vehicle identification number was unavailable.

: the contact stated that when the vehicle hit a bump, the engine audibly moved up and down within the engine compartment. The vehicle was taken to a service dealer, where the dealer determined that the engine mounts were weak and needed to be replaced. Updated 8/14/2006 - the vehicles shock absorbers had to be replaced. The consumer believes the engine mount repair and shock absorbers should have been covered under the vehicle's warranty.
