2004 Hyundai xg350L has had intermittent air bag light come on dash during warranty period. All repairs under warranty as simple fix of loose connections. Within six months of out of warranty period air bag light on again and taken to Hyundai dealership who now states that this repair is out of warranty and will cost over one thousand dollars. In the interm the supplementary restraint system will not work.

The contact complained about sudden acceleration. The problem occurred when slowing down or after the vehicle came to a complete stop. The vehicle was involved in an accident. The contact was pulling into a parking space when the vehicle accelerated and ran into a building. The only damage to the vehicle was to the front bumper cover. Upon impact, the airbags did not deploy. The consumer was wear his seat belt. No injuries were sustained. The contact took the vehicle to the dealership. They could not duplicate the problem and no repairs were done. Updated 1/11/2006 -
