The contact owns a 2005 Hyundai XG350. When the contact started the vehicle, the driver's side frontal air bag suddenly exploded with a loud noise. There were no warning indicators illuminated on the instrument panel. The contact sustained injuries to her left arm and thumb. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer for repair, but the cause of the failure has not yet been determined. The contact was concerned of the safety risk involved and she is in the process of notifying the manufacturer. The failure and current mileages were 49,000.

The contact owns a 2005 Hyundai XG350. The contact noticed that the air bag light illuminated on the instrument panel while driving 40 mph. The dealer stated that they could not repair her vehicle for almost two weeks. The vehicle was taken to the dealer on four separate occasions, but the failure was not remedied successfully. The first two times, the driver's side air bag was the issue. The most recent visit to the dealer was because of the air bag light illuminating on the instrument panel. The current mileage was 30,957 and failure mileage was approximately 23,000. Updated 09/16/08 updated 09/22/08.
