Infiniti lost a class action law suit and has agreed to replace all dashboards with this issue. I had mine done years ago and it's still holding up. The problem was substandard adhesives which broke down in the heat of the summer in the US. For more info, these are the dudes that sued Infiniti: http://www.mookandmook.com/

Dash board is bubbling all over, had to buy a dash board cover with no ability to fix this concern or problem. Infiniti DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT but rather the local dealership makes excuses for this happening telling me it's my own fault due to the warm climate I reside in. When you pay 53,000 for a car I would hope this type of defect doesn't take place, but instead you get a total lemon and they refuse to fix it or even help find a solution. Disappoint is huge. My leather seat is also ripping and cracking which also shouldn't be a problem as well, but again local dealership does nothing to help other then allow a outsider to glue it and charge me 376.00 when it wasn't even done correctly and they even came apart and didn't work. DISAPPOINT in this product is HUGH and local dealership is worthless as well is infiniti consumer affairs line which again only tells you "it's your own problem and it's something I've done wrong to my own vehicle", so don't bother calling them for support, they are nasty, rude and have no interest in repairing or replacing this products bad craftsmanship. DON"t BUY ONE unless you want a bubbling dashboard and cracked or cracking leather seats.

I went to two different dealers, one in Grand Rapids, the other in Farmington Hills. The dealer in Grand Rapids was no help at all and even said what do you expect for a five year old car! The dealer in Farmington Hills at least took pictures and sent them to Infiniti. Infiniti rejected the goodwill warranty request. Infiniti consumer affairs was also of no help. There are 70 complaints on the web concerning this problem, some of them have been covered by warranty, some by goodwill. It appears that dealer loyalty has a bearing on who's dash is replaced. Both dealers above are 125-130 miles away from me. At 117.00 an hour labor rate, I will not drive to them for oil changes or things I can do myself. I am ASCE certified and was also a service manager for many years. Dealer loyalty should not have any bearing on defective materials.
