It's a pain to check oil constantly to make sure it's not low. I discovered this problem when I changed my full synthetic oil after 8000 miles and then I changed it after 6000 miles. It's still low, so now I will change oil every 5000 miles (my decision - just to be safe since it's 15 years old). And I still have to check it once a month my mechanic says.

It's annoying to check the oil level and add oil every few weeks. But I guess it's better than damaging the engine

Update from Sep 15, 2018: update : Even though oil pan gasket is leaking a bit it's not the main oil leak. a small little pipe (20-40$ to replace) between the transmission and engine is the cause. so now to get to it costs 1300$ Total to fix a 40$ pipe that's leaking a bit oil. infinity should have built that smarter. my shop said the they would fix the oil pan gasket for free once they are at the pipe but I don't think it's worth it. will continue to check the oil level and top off oil.
