First, I think it's important to point out, this vehiicle (2006 Isuzu Ascender ls, 7 passenger) shares a majority of it's parts with the Chevy trailblazer ext and GMC Envoy XL. After a full tank of fuel has burned off to about 3/4 tank, the fuel gage would start to go up and down erratically from F to E until the tank was empty or refiled. This continued for about 6 months until the gage would not register at all and the fuel light would remain lit.

The contact owns a 2006 Isuzu Ascender. The contact stated that the fuel gauge displayed empty on the instrument control panel. The dealer stated that they would repair the vehicle for $800. The warranty has expired and there are no related recalls. The failure mileage was 43,000.
