Driver's side airbag deployed unexpectedly. Consumer took vehicle to dealer, and they stated that consumer ran over something on the road. The air bag light came on and stayed on. The dealer determined that the sensor on the left air bag was faulty and replaced.

Driver's side airbag deployed while driving 55 mph. Vehicle was going over a piece of ice on road. The consumer pointed out that the vehicle passed over a piece of ice or a small piece of rock which caused the air bag to deploy.

While driving at 65 mph driver heard explosion, side airbags deployed without any kind of impact, causing loss of vehicle control. Due to white powder within airbag, destroyed interior and moulding of vehicle. Dealer claimed there was undercarriage damage, and could cause side airbags to deploy. But there was no evidence of side impact.
