This car has been a disappointment since day one. I bought this off lease from bournival Lincoln/Mercury in July 2005. Since then...first was the constant condensation of the windows...something about heater core and seals needed to be replaced. Then the check engine light kept coming on, drive 115 miles to the jag dealer and be told nothing is wrong on multiple occasions. The sun room failed and had to be replaced. When this happened the passenger front seat belt would no longer pull out-completely inoperable. Next cam the chugging, chugging, go syndrome. Ws told it had something to do with fuel sensors and oxygen sensors. Tire blow out on the highway (with kids and mother in the car). Now the bolts holding the strapping to secure the fuel tank fell out. The dealer ship tells me---not from rust---but they are alleging from some sort of valdalism--so I have to pay to have these replaced. Yup...it's been an expensive two years....$24,000 for the car, twice towed, warranty covered repair expenses +/- $4,000; uncovered repair expenses still incurring-but it's over $1,500 at last count.. not to mention numerous drives to Jaguar dealers (this means taking the day off from work)....when I bought the car, I purchased a Ford premium care extended warranty, because, as I was informed, "any Ford dealer should be able to handle the car"...untrue.
