I BOUGHT THE CAR IN MAY 2016. NOW I HAVE TO TELL YOU THAT I LIVE IN ARIZONA WHERE THE HEAT IS UNBEARABLE!!! ONLY AFTER TWO WEEKS OF HAVING MY CAR THE AC WOULD START TO MAKE NOISES AND THEN SHUT OFF!! THEN AFTER YOUR ABOUT DEAD FROM THE HEAT IT WOULD COME ON AND THEN GO FROM HIGH TO LOW STAY LOW THEN GO BACK HIGH TO THINK YOU WERE ABOUT TO COOL OFF THEN SHUT OFF! THIS WENT ON ALL SUMMER AND IS STILL GOING ON!

We have brought our car in for the exact same problem 6 times now., since we bought it in April of this year.

As I speak, our car has been in the shop for over a week; it was that long the last time too. I don't know if they are even looking at it, just keeping it there to pacify us.

We had a claim opened on it, but the day before we left for a trip, we got it back from the shop, supposedly "fixed" but it was not!! (They didn't want their loaner sitting at the airport). When we came home, we found out the claim was closed because the car was returned to us & we didn't report the problem still existed within 3 days of return. The claims person said to just open another claim....what good does it do??? This rattle is like a fly hitting the window non-stop, and you can be going slow and it still happens.

When we bought our "dream" car, it was between this Jeep and a Mazda 5. I wish we would've researched problems with Jeep before we made this decision. I'm reading a lot about this exact issue, and no one seems to know how to fix it. Seems like once you have the car, its your problem.

Update from Nov 8, 2014: After six visits and many weeks totaled in having the car repaired, I am super pleased to say my rattle is GONE!!
