Cherokee Latitude 3.2L V6

When you put the vehicle in park after driving it rolls back extremely far. This makes me really nervous because I bought the 3.2l V6 for towing. I don't want to have a trailer jerking around the transmission. There should be almost an instant stop once in park. Definitely a safety concern.

Cherokee 3.2L V6

I parked inside my car port exactly the way I always park next to metal bars that hold the structure up. I locked up. I went into my home. When I came back out the car had jumped back in the direction the wheels had been turned for parking. It hit so hard, smashing into the metal bars supporting the car port roof causing major damage to back seat door & fender. It it so hard I was not able to safely pull drive it out.
