The contact owns a 2006 Jeep Commander. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the gear shifted into four wheel drive independently and without warning. The failure occurred on numerous occasions. The vehicle was taken dealer. The technician diagnosed that the final drive controller module needed to be repaired. The failure was repaired but the problem persisted. The manufacturer was notified of the issue. The approximate failure mileage was unknown.
