The contact owns a 2006 Jeep Commander. The contact stated that he heard a loud screaming sound. Upon inspection, he concluded that the timing belts caused that failure. He took the vehicle to the dealer and they rerouted the timing belts and the blower motor. Approximately two days while driving 60 mph, the vehicle vibrated excessively. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer and they performed a wheel alignment. One week later he heard the screaming noise again. The dealer repaired the serpentine belt however two weeks later he heard a loud noise coming from the engine. The dealer stated the compressor caused the failure. As of January 7, 2008, the dealer had not repaired the vehicle. The failure mileage was 35,121 and current mileage was 36,120.
